Wishing You A Most Lovely Day - Sketchy Cardspiration #2

Happy Friday everyone!
I hope you all had a great week and found some time to get crafty.

I want to thank everyone for your lovely comments you all left on my blog over the past week. I read every single one and tried to respond to the ones I was able to. Your kind words mean so much to me! 💗

~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~
I have a new Sketchy Cardspiration for you today!
I'll share my card inspired by my sketch first and add the sketch at the bottom.
I had lots of fun with this one and used as many matching papers as I could to make the sunburst pattern and then went further and stitched each one together!
After I got done stitching everything together, it kinda looked like a cool quilt! I will always love the look of stitching on paper...adds lots of awesome texture too!
The stamp I used is Magnolia Stamps "Tilda With Heart Balloons". I'm sure she is a retired stamp because I have not been able to link to her. I was lucky enough to purchase this stamp second hand, from a fellow crafter years ago, that was clearing out some of her older stamps. But if you're looking for a great place to buy Magnolia Stamps in the US, I've always bought mine from Magnolia-Licious.
The sentiment is my own design available in my digi sentiment shop HERE. The little crocheted hearts I got years ago from a fellow Etsy crafter. She custom made a bunch of different colored crocheted hearts for me. Her shop is called "Craft Me Crazy" and can be found HERE.
Some more close-ups...
My YouTube Channel!
Hello again everyone!
I just wanted to let you all know that I FINALLY created my own YouTube channel!
I was asked to make videos years ago of my card making process. This was something that was completely out of my comfort zone, but once I started it and created my first one, I actually had lots of fun doing it!
So, here is my very first crafty video ever! I hope you all enjoy it and would love if you could subscribe. And please feel free to let me know what you think?
Depending on how well this one is received, I might make more!
Thank you in advance for taking a look!
With Love From The Heart - Sketchy Cardspiration #1
Hello, Hello, Hello!
I'm SO excited to finally get to this post!
My first card or anything crafty in 4 years! You would be surprised just how much you forget not using your supplies, tools and techniques for that long! But once you get in there and start playing around, it starts coming back and that's when the fun and crafty therapy starts! I've definitely been needing some crafty therapy and creative release!
Before I began my card, I thought...where did I always start?
I always, always started with a sketch first! So, I just sat down one day and started doodling my own card sketches...and was only going to keep them on hand for myself at first, but then I thought, why not share them! So, since I was taking the time to digitize my card sketches anyways, I figured I would share them with you all here and hope to inspire your card making process. A card maker can never have enough card sketches on hand to get a jump start and get that creativity flowing.
~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~

I'll get to the sketch at the bottom of this post. But, first I'll start with my card...

Side view...I just LOVE this sparkly gold paper from The Paper Studio!

For my image, I used a stamp by La-La Land Crafts called "Marci w/Heart Balloon". Now, the downside to not touching your craft supplies for 4 years, is I think this stamp may be retired?? Because I can't seem to find her anywhere in the shop to be able to link to her. But La-La Land Crafts has many other adorable stamps to choose from, so I will just link to the main shop!

Some close ups...the sentiment stamp I used on my card is one of my own designs and is a FREEBIE available on my blog HERE!

And of course, I had to do up the inside too!

Lots of Hearts! NEW Sentiments and FREEBIES first! Card Next!

Hello again!
I told ya, I'd be back!

My card post will probably be a little long today, so I want to share some NEW sentiment sets and some freebies that I've been working on first. I've been getting to know and playing around with my Illustrator software again and having lots of fun creating NEW sentiment designs!

Since Valentine's day is coming up....like next week, I was in the mood for hearts, lots and lots of hearts! I started out with creating hearts and the designs and ideas for them just grew from there! But I can see these being used for friendship cards, thank you cards, weddings or even anniversaries.

I have 3 NEW fulls sets in all that are available in my shop now! I can't tell you how much fun I had creating these! You can click on any of the pictures or titles to be directed to my Etsy sentiment shop, where they can be purchased and instantly downloaded!

Here is the first set...

And these next 2 sets, I got a little wild with my out of the box thinking and thought, how fun would it be to create some frames to makes shaker cards?! I haven't made shaker cards since I started card making, but I've noticed it's been making a comeback! I can also see these frames being used to frame other images and stamps!

I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way these turned out!!
AND both sets will come with a set of shaker bits that you can color up and use inside the shaker frames!!

I'll have some inspiration coming up soon and show how I used some of these!

~~~~~~~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~~~~~~~
And now, if you got through all that...you deserve some FREEBIES!! These turned out absolutely adorable, in my opinion. I actually used one of my freebies on my card I will be sharing next!
From The Heart FREEBIE Set! Download HERE or you can click on the picture which will take you to MediaFire to easily download the free digi sentiments!
The files are uploaded in zipped format, so you will need a program like 7zip or Winzip which you can download for free to extract them. If you have trouble, please leave me a comment and I will try to help you.
I really hope you enjoy them as much as I did creating them! All I ask is that you give credit on whatever project you may use them on. And please do not share them or claim them as your own. You may sell your handmade cards with the sentiments, but you do not have permission to sell the sentiments in their original format.
Before jumping right back into the crafty world...a little update!
Hello everyone!
Or I should say, anyone?....lol
I can't believe it's been 4 years since I did anything crafty related! Wow! Has it REALLY been that long?!! I guess it doesn't feel that it has been that long, because I still follow most of you on Facebook. I've had lots of people asking me over the years when I was coming back and never had an answer for them.
It's been a long 4 years, with lots of ups and downs for myself and our family. It started with losing my grandma in 2013, which was hard enough and took a long time to process. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4, Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She died within 6 months of her diagnosis, in June of 2015. It was obviously an extremely difficult time, because she was not only my mom but my best friend too. What makes it all the more heartbreaking, she was only 49 years old. Going on 3 years since she's been gone and it's still something I struggle with wrapping my head around. I miss her every day!
I made this up for her awhile back. The bottom pic was taken by me, a few years before she got sick. In the top pic, she was in the middle of getting her chemo and radiation treatments. She sent the pic to my phone a couple days before she died. She was so sick here, but she still managed to smile. I loved and miss her strength!
If that wasn't devastating enough, my husband lost his job of  nearly 10 years. And shortly after that, he lost his mom to a blood clot. It was just so surreal.
I went back to work for a little bit in 2016, after not physically working outside the house for 10 years! My husband had a major career change and went to schooling to become a longhaul trucker. And he has now been happily trucking for a little over a year. Although we're financially secure again, it's been hard on me and the boys not having him home every night.
Writing this post is making me a little teary...I think that's why I've been putting it off for so long. But, I'm happy to say that we are finally settled into our new house after moving around for so many years, with everything being in boxes! And this current house came with a spare room that I have ALL to myself and was able to turn it into a nice little crafty space. I feel like I've been unpacking and organizing it for months now. But I'm finally ready to get started!
I have so many ideas floating around in my head, I'm ready to get them all out to make room for more!
I already have some cards in the works, some new sentiments designed, as well as FREEBIES to share...and that means I'm working on getting my shops back open too! I've also been working on some card sketch inspiration that I'm SO excited to share with you all! And I've been asked in the past to make videos of my card making process...so, I'm even going to try my hand at that too...we'll see how that goes. lol
For anyone who read this entire post, give yourself a big pat on the back, because I know it was a long one. For those of you who haven't followed me on Facebook all these years, I figured I should update you all before jumping right back in again!
I'll be back tomorrow with my first NEW crafty post in 4 years!! Until then, thank you for stopping by and for your continued understanding and support throughout the years. The crafting community truly does have the biggest hearts!
Big, Big, Hugs!
Hello! I'm still here! And Thank you for your support!!
HELLO Everyone!
Just wanted to let all you know that I'm still here and I thank you all so very much for sticking with me! It would be expected to lose followers because I've been gone FOREVER from the blogging world! So HUGE hugs to all of you! I missed everyone!
And I want to start with an apology at how abruptly I left. I obviously had a very good reason to be gone so long but I will just leave you with that is was for personal family reasons.
And another big apology to everyone who followed me with my design team work. I of course had to quit the teams because of my sudden departure from the craft world. It was my decision and I want to say everyone was so wonderful to me and understanding. So I want to send BIG virtual hugs to, Kim Reid of Kraftin Kimmie StampsChristy Croll of Tiddly Inks StampsDiana Crick of Magnolia-Licious Stamps and of course, all my DT buddies too! Thank you all for your support! You are ALL missed so much!
I'm finally getting my act together and hope to return to the crafting world soon. Although I won't be posting my card creations as much as I did in the past, I will be concentrating a little more on my jewelry.
I will also be homeschooling my oldest son this year. Homeschooling will definitely take up a lot of my time. And I'm very excited to start this new venture.
I will probably be posting some of my jewelry creations here ever so often. So I hope those of you here for my card creations will stick with me, but I will of course understand if you don't. And those of you here for my Jewelry and Etsy stuff, I hope you will enjoy! :)
Until Next Time...
